This year has been quite a ride so far. It has taken a toll on everyone. Let’s cut out a little extra stress this week. Sound good?

Something that really helps me personally is practicing Pilates and going for a walk! The flowing movement and breathing we practice in Pilates helps me to reduce the amount of stress and anxiety I feel and going for a walk always clears my head!

I try to stay ahead of stress as much as possible, because one of the worst things about it is that after a while it starts to feel NORMAL.

Have you suddenly noticed that your shoulders are tight and your breathing is shallow – and you have no idea how long you’ve been walking around like that?

That’s not good. Stress can affect everything from your relationships to your health and everything in between.

We took a couple of days off August Bank Holiday as I hadn’t had a day off this year and I knew I was close to burnout and having been there before, I knew I couldn’t go there again!!

I know my levels of stress have escalated more than ever this year! The uncertainty over my business and the fear of losing what I had worked so hard for has been tough!

During the past few months walking and Pilates in particular have helped me to calm my thoughts, clear my head and reduce my anxiety during this tough time!

Exercise in almost any form can act as a stress reliever. Being active can boost your feel-good endorphins and distract you from daily worries.
Exercise increases your overall health and your sense of well-being, which puts more pep in your step every day. But exercise also has some direct stress-busting benefits:
- It pumps up your endorphins
- It reduces the negative effects of stress
- It’s meditation in motion
- It improves your mood
- It can help you relax
- It can improve your sleep
- Reduce depression
You know that exercise does your body good but you're too busy and stressed to fit it into your routine!

My ONLINE STUDIO now has over 400 workouts in the group and new sessions are added each week. All of the sessions can be done solely online from the comfort of your own home!! This will save you time
travelling to and from the gym or studio and you can do them at a time to suit you.
Some of the sessions are just 30 minutes which makes it easier to fit into your schedule!
