I had an email from someone yesterday asking how many times per week they should train their abs and this is a question that I get asked a lot, so I thought I would share my response.
If you're looking to lose weight and get more definition around the mid-section then doing crunches every day isn't the answer.
Instead you need to be doing exercises that will get you burning way more calories than crunches! You need to be doing exercises which target your big muscle groups such as squats, press ups, planks, burpees etc.
These type of exercises will fire up your metabolism so that you are burning calories hours after your workout has finished.
But .......
Exercise is only part of it!
The real results will come from your nutrition! You have probably heard the saying that you can't out train a bad diet.
This is so true, losing body fat is all about being in a calorie deficit!
