We are BEYOND EXCITED to finally be able to send you this email!
The government announced that the fitness industry could re-open on the 25th July…however, clear guidelines were not available for us to be able to safely re-open on that date.
I want to share my exact plans for re-opening The Studio. I can’t wait to see you all again … it feels like it’s been forever!
The purpose of this email is for two reasons:
- To share our plans for re-opening The Studio (woohoo!)
- To share all of the extra preventative measures and precautions we are taking to keep our studio clean and our members healthy and safe!
Your health and safety are our #1 priority, and every decision we’ve made has been guided by that premise.
THE STUDIO REOPENING PLAN
Overview: We’ve decided to have a phased approach to re-opening The Studio.
We will also continue to provide all our sessions online during this phase and beyond. If you would like to join us for our online sessions then click HERE to subscribe.
Phase 1 – From 1st August we are excited to be able to re-open the doors for classes, however we will be re-opening with reduced classes sizes and a limited timetable during this phase. See below for
details of classes returning to The Studio in August.
- Evening Pilates Courses – Monday (starting 3 August), Wednesday (starting 19th August) and Thursday (starting 20th August)
- Personal Training Sessions
- A reduced class timetable for special sessions – these will be announced on a weekly basis.
Initially, the special sessions will ONLY be available to Studio Members who pay a monthly membership. If you would like to learn more about our monthly memberships please contact me at nicolacarless@aol.com
Due to a restriction in the number of participants, these sessions must be pre-booked and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Phase 2 – From September we will be adding more sessions to the timetable as well as bringing the following programs back to The Studio:
1. Lift Weight Lose Weight (LWLW) – Women Only Weight Training 12 Week Program – FULLY BOOKED
2. Early Morning Bootcamp (Mon, Wed, & Fri mornings at 6am)
3. Evening Bootcamp (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
We will still be restricted on how many sessions and session types that we are able to put onto the timetable due to extra cleaning time needed and safety restrictions. This means that there will not be as many sessions on the timetable that were on before lockdown, however, we will keep you updated along the
way.
Phase 3 – This is to be confirmed once we have been back to The Studio for a couple of months so we can assess how things are working. We will of course keep you updated.
CLASS PASSES:
For anyone who bought a class pass prior to lockdown, I confirm that I will extend the end date from the date you come back to classes and I will let you know nearer to the time what date that will be from. Due to the restriction on numbers in classes and due to the reduced timetable over the next
couple of months The Studio members have first priority over booking the sessions.
We appreciate your patience as we work through the reopening phases!
THE STUDIO EXTRA SAFETY MEASURES:
Now that our plan is laid out, we want to make sure you know about all of the additional health and safety precautions we’re taking at THE STUDIO!
UPGRADED CLEANING SCHEDULE: We will be ensuring that all equipment will be thoroughly disinfected throughout the day after each use. We’ve allowed for more time between sessions so we are able to clean equipment and
our facility more effectively. This includes the regular cleaning of doorknobs, all touchpoints and any other surfaces or objects that are touched throughout the day.
Paul and I have spent the last few weeks getting The Studio ready for us to re-open. It has been repainted, we’ve had a new front door fitted and literally every piece of equipment and surface area has been deep cleaned.
UPDATED PROGRAMMING: We’ve updated our workout programming so you will be able to workout in your own dedicated space, and will not have to share equipment during your workout. You will need to bring your own mat to
your session as we are not allowed to provide these at the present time.
MARKING YOUR SPOT ON THE FLOOR: We have marked each workout space with a spot on the floor providing the required space between participants.... so you’ll have plenty of space to workout in!
INCREASED VENTILATION: We will keep The Studio well ventilated by opening the shutters and doors when appropriate.....improving airflow.
HAND SANITISER & DISINFECTING WIPES: These items will be readily available for your use throughout The Studio.
TEAM HANDWASHING: I will ensure that myself and the team will be washing our hands when we arrive and leave and also sanitising/washing our hands throughout the day after each class or coaching session.
CLIENT CO-OPERATION:
We are in this together, and we need YOUR help as we re-open to keep our studio as safe as possible.
- Adhere to social distancing at all times when at The Studio
- Hand sanitiser will be offered on entry and exit of The Studio, please use them.
- Please keep equipment clean - wipe down every piece of equipment after each use (using the cleaning materials provided).
- Please wear trainers that you only wear inside the studio. We are asking that everyone use gym shoes only (no outdoor shoes) in The Studio. This will help avoid tracking in any germs or bacteria.
- Please bring as little personal property as you can… where possible, bring personal items in a small bag/purse/pouch.
- As much as we LOVE high-fives in the studio, we’ll be doing air-high-fives only for the time being.
- We will be operating a one-way system throughout the building; please enter through the main front door and you will exit through the rear fire door.
- We are unable to allow waiting inside the Studio. The door will be unlocked 10 mins before the class start time; please either wait outside or in your car as we cannot allow you in until the room is ready.
- No changing in The Studio, we also encourage you to use the bathroom at home and not here. Use of the bathroom here is at your own risk and if you do use the toilets then please ensure that you clean all touch points afterwards with
the cleaning materials provided.
- Please Stay Home If You’re Not Well: If you’re not feeling 100%, please stay home and rest or participate in our virtual sessions until you are feeling better. (Our team will also be following this
policy!)
- Please Avoid “Congregating” In Groups Before / After Class: We are also asking clients to avoid gathering in groups before, during, or after their workouts. Again, this is because of social distancing guidelines. If
you arrive early for your workout, please stay in your car until it’s time to come in. I know we love to chat but for the time being I will be asking everyone to leave The Studio as soon as equipment has been cleaned, so that we have time to clean the room before the next session.
- If you are contacted by UK Track & Trace and have been in to The Studio in the last 14 days, please tell us immediately.
Phew! That was a lot to cover! Please understand that the above may change slightly if government recommendations change. Thank you so much for your patience as we navigate through the reopening.
We cannot WAIT to see you again back in The Studio! As always, we’re here for you. If you have any questions or need anything, reach out any time.
Committed to Your Success,
