Here at The Studio, I care about your health and well-being, both immediately and in the long term!
That’s why I’m sending you this email about what we are doing in the wake of the COVID-19 virus (aka Coronavirus) … and what YOU can do to protect yourself.
I’ve even created an Immune Boosting Checklist, which contains science-backed steps you can take to improve your immune function AND avoid picking up any unwanted germs (including any colds, flu and stomach bugs that are going around).
I also want to let you know that we are taking extra care to help protect our members.
Here are some steps we are taking at The Studio:
- We are asking that people avoid wearing their outdoor shoes/trainers into workout spaces. This can help avoid tracking in any germs or bacteria. Please bring a separate pair of trainers that you only wear inside the studio.
- We would like to ask that all our members arrive to class at least 5 minutes early
- Please wash your hands (up to your elbows) for at LEAST 20 seconds upon arriving at The Studio. BEFORE and AFTER your workout.
- As much as we LOVE high-fives in the studio, we’ll be doing air-high-fives for right now!
- When using equipment please can you ensure that you wipe down equipment with the paper towels and disinfectant products that are provided, then place them straight into the bin bag provided, which we will dispose of at the end of each session
- Please bring a towel for your personal use and to lay over the mats when we do any exercises on the floor.
- We will be removing the boxing element of classes for the time being, and will not be doing close contact partner work in classes. We will be ensuring that we only use equipment that can be easily cleaned.
- We will finish 5 minutes earlier to wipe down equipment.
- We are stepping up our cleaning schedule at The Studio so together we can keep ourselves and each other as safe as possible.
- And we ask that clients who feel unwell should NOT attend class, neither should anyone who has someone at home who is displaying similar symptoms to those of Coronavirus. Stay at home and let your body heal!
These are additional measures we are taking at The Studio to minimise cross infection. We are monitoring government advice, as your welfare is of paramount importance to us, and will change our approach as and when necessary.
We also encourage you to continue your workouts, since regular activity is a part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Studies show that moderate workouts lasting an hour or less helps improve your overall immune function – plus they can help you destress, which can also help keep your immune system strong.
