We dream of what may be achieved in the year to come. As we should!
It’s a great time to make some big lifestyle changes.
It’s a time of year we are extra motivated by the idea of a “fresh start.”
Yet all too often those goals and dreams are abandoned within weeks, if not even DAYS, of the clock striking 12 and us ushering in a new year, and hopefully, a new
us.
Why!?!
How can we prevent that same cycle from repeating itself in 2020?
Here are 4 tips to help you accomplish all of your fitness goals this next year…

Yup. That’s it.
PLAN!
Too often we set goals but we never plan out HOW we are actually going to get there.
We don’t have a map to guide us.
So when we feel lost with where to start? We…well…simply DON’T start.
We get overwhelmed by the changes. By the lack of direction so we never actually even start making the changes we need to get
results.
Don’t let this happen to you this year!
Create a plan. And make it realistic.
Set small changes to start with you can build upon.
Want to start working out?
Map out 5 minute routines you can do 2-3 times a week. And write out what you’ll do exactly. Even if you plan out some longer routines, have these quick options PLANNED OUT so
even on those busy days you can stay on track.
Want to make changes to your diet?
Plan out what you’re going to change. And don’t start by cutting out the thing you love the most!
Start with something easy. Start with small swaps. Start by even LOGGING to get an accurate picture of what you’re currently TRULY
doing.
Even sometimes the accountability of logging is enough to get us moving forward.
But plan out simple things to make changes easier.
Give yourself direction and a map toward success.
Think of your goals this next year as a vacation destination you’re driving to…
Would you rather have a map and directions already set out to help you get there as quickly as possible?
Or would you rather get in the car and just start driving, hoping you make the correct turns….?
I don’t know about you, but I would 100% prefer having a map to help me guarantee I’ll get to my destination…
PLAN. Set yourself up for success in 2020.
