Hi ,
I’ve been a little quieter on social media in February… but that certainly doesn’t mean February was quiet.
It was full.
At the beginning of the month, I hosted a Deadlift Technique Workshop for my online Midlife Mojo ladies. Watching women over 40 step up to a barbell with growing confidence and realise
just how strong they are never gets old for me. Strength changes more than bodies - it changes belief.
On 14th February, I had the honour of speaking at a women’s event celebrating International Women’s Day (a little early!). I shared my journey in the fitness industry - from where I started to where I am now - and then taught both Pilates and resistance training to two wonderful groups of women. It reminded me why I do what I do.
February was beautifully
busy with my in-person clients - one-to-ones, small groups and Pilates classes - alongside coaching calls with my online ladies. Add programme writing, admin, accounts and everything that comes with running your own business… and the days were full in the best way.
I kept up my own gym training too - that’s my reset time - although I didn’t get as many outdoor walks in as I would have liked. With spring arriving, I’m very much looking forward to lighter mornings and getting
back outside more regularly.
We also made time for friendships. We met up with our lovely friends Vicki & Dave - great company, wonderful food and lots of laughter. We’ve made it our aim to see them monthly because those connections really matter.
And now we step into March.
International Women’s Day on 8th March feels especially meaningful to me this year. I think a lot about the women who shape us and the women we are
becoming.
Mother’s Day is also coming up. We’ll actually be away on the day itself, so we’re celebrating with a family meal instead - my sister, her husband (who is an incredible chef), Mum, Dad, Paul and me. Taking that time to honour my Mum feels important. Strong women don’t just happen - they’re raised, influenced and supported.
March also brings Paul’s birthday, a weekend away in Ludlow (Mitzi is coming too!), new programmes for my in-person clients,
another Midlife Mojo meet-up after the first one was such a success, and - hopefully - more fresh air and spring walks.
This season feels like growth.
And when I look at the women I coach, I see it everywhere. Stronger bodies. Stronger minds. Greater confidence. Setting examples for their families and proving that midlife is not a time to shrink - it’s a time to expand.
Here’s to a strong March - in body, mind, family and
friendships.
Love Nicki x
