I wanted to share a little snapshot from Sunday morning, because it perfectly captures what Midlife Mojo is really about.
Â
On Sunday, a group of my online Midlife Mojo ladies met up in person for a Deadlift Technique Morning that I’d arranged - and it was such a special couple of
hours.
Â
Many of these women train with me online, so finally bringing them together face to face was something I’d been really looking forward to. From the moment they arrived, there was a real sense of connection - like-minded women, all wanting to feel stronger, more confident and more capable in their bodies.

The focus of the morning was deadlift technique - slowing things down, breaking the movement apart and really
understanding:
- how to set up properly
- why stance matters
- how breathing and bracing support your body
- and how good form leads to better results (and fewer aches and niggles)
Â
One of the biggest reflections from the women afterwards was how beneficial it was to practise properly, without rushing and with the reassurance of 1:1 coaching within a relaxed, supportive group. Several said they now feel far more confident doing
deadlifts - something that previously felt intimidating or uncertain.

Another powerful takeaway was this: many realised they’ve been rushing their training and that being more intentional - focusing on form rather than just “getting it done” - will massively benefit their progress going forward.

And that’s such an important message, especially in midlife.
Â
This isn’t about smashing workouts for the sake of it. It’s about learning how
to move well, lift safely and build strength that supports you for life.

Beyond the technique, what really stood out was the joy of being together - meeting in person, encouraging each other, learning alongside one another and leaving feeling uplifted and empowered.

It truly was a very worthwhile morning, and I know the women who attended will feel the benefits in their training for months to come.
