Hi ,
Let me start by saying this clearly:
If January didn’t go how you hoped - you haven’t failed.
You’re not behind.
And there is absolutely no need to write yourself off for the rest of the year.
January comes with a lot of pressure, especially for women over 40.
We tell
ourselves:
“This is the month I’ll get everything back on track.”
“This is when I’ll finally lose the weight.”
“This is when I’ll be consistent.”
And for some women, it flows.
But for many others?
Life shows up.
Hormones fluctuate.
Sleep is broken.
Stress is high.
Energy is low.
Your body doesn’t respond like it used to.
So if January felt stop-start, messy, or just hard - that’s normal in
midlife.
February isn’t about “trying harder”.
It’s about doing things differently.
This is where the Midlife Mojo Method mindset comes in.
Instead of asking:
“Why can’t I stick to things like I used to?”
We ask:
“What does my body need now - and how can I support it consistently?”
Because health, fitness and fat loss after 40 aren’t built on
extremes.
They’re built on small, supportive actions done again and again - even when motivation is low.
This month, I want you to focus on minimum standards, not perfection.
That might look like:
- Strength training to support muscle, bones and metabolism
- Pilates or mobility work to help your body move better and feel less stiff
- Walking for energy, stress relief and fat loss
- Eating regularly and
nourishing your body - not restricting it
- Letting go of the “all or nothing” thinking that keeps pulling you off track
And most importantly - learning how to keep going on the hard days.
Because those are the days that really matter.
Fat loss isn’t decided by your best weeks.
It’s decided by how you respond when:
- The scale doesn’t move
- You miss a workout
- You feel tired, hormonal or
fed up
- Old habits start creeping back in
Progress in midlife looks like getting back on track without punishment.
February is your chance to reset the reset.
Calm the nervous system.
Build strength.
Create routines that actually fit your life now - not the life you had in your 20s or 30s.
You don’t need another diet.
You don’t need more willpower.
You don’t need to be
“better”.
You need the right support, the right approach and the confidence to trust the process.
And if you’d like help with that…I offer free health and fitness calls where we:
- Look at what’s been holding you back
- Talk honestly about hormones, energy and fat loss
- Map out a realistic way forward with fitness, mindset and nutrition
- See if the Midlife Mojo Method is right for you
No pressure.
No
judgement.
Just support and clarity.
February can be powerful - not because you’re starting again, but because you’re starting smarter.

hard.
