Following on from my last emails - where we talked about curveballs and progress, not perfection - I wanted to share something a little more practical today.
Because let’s be honest… staying on track isn’t about willpower.
It’s about
mindset.
The truth is, we’re all juggling a lot - work, family, hormones, sleep, responsibilities - and it’s so easy to let your own health slip to the bottom of the list.
So here are 5 mindset shifts that can help you stay focused, positive and consistent - even when life gets busy or unpredictable:
💡 1. “Something is better than nothing.”
You don’t have to do a full workout for it to
count.
A 10-minute walk, a stretch, or a quick Pilates flow is still progress. Every small action builds momentum.
💡 2. “I don’t start again - I just continue.”
We all have off days (or weeks). The trick is not to hit the reset button every time.
Just pick up from where you left off - no guilt, no drama, just carry on.
💡 3. “I focus on what I can do.”
When life throws challenges -
like my recent foot op! - it’s easy to get frustrated about what we can’t do.
But shifting your focus to what’s still possible keeps you feeling strong and in control.
💡 4. “I’m playing the long game.”
Quick fixes don’t last.
True change comes from creating habits that work in real life - on good days and not-so-good ones.
💡 5. “I deserve to feel good.”
This one’s powerful.
You’re not being selfish for taking time
for yourself - you’re recharging your energy so you can show up as your best self in every other part of your life. 💕
These little mindset shifts can make a huge difference to how you feel - not just about training, but about yourself.
And remember, it’s never too late to start.
