Yep, me too. It feels like every day there’s a new “must-try” health trend. Keto! No, Paleo. Count macros! Go plant-based! Nope, just intuitively eat!
It’s exhausting. And let’s be real: It usually leads to more
stress, not less.
So here’s a little secret I’ve learned after years of trial and error:
1) You have to find a plan that works for YOU.
2) The simpler, the better.
👉 Because when you keep things SIMPLE, you make it so much easier to be consistent.
So instead of trying to overhaul everything at once, focus on a few impactful habits that actually fit into your life. Here’s what this looks like for
me:
- Instead of following a strict diet, I follow a flexible approach - tracking my macros and calories to fit my goals, but with no restriction. I focus on balanced meals with protein, healthy fats and fibre for energy and satiety, while still enjoying the foods I love using the 80/20 rule.
- I prioritise daily movement, whether it’s a Pilates session, a strength workout, or just a 20-minute walk -
because consistency matters more than perfection
- Rather than forcing myself into early morning training sessions, I schedule exercise at a time that works best for my body and lifestyle.
- I make hydration a habit by starting my day with a big glass of water and carrying a bottle with me wherever I go.
- Rather than stressing about doing everything ‘right,’ I focus on small, daily wins - because progress is more important than perfection.
Simple? Yes.
Boring? Maybe.
Effective? Absolutely.
And you know what? The results are way more sustainable.
