Hi
Overwhelmed by meal prep? Try this instead…
What if I told you that healthy eating doesn’t have to feel complicated or take up hours of your time?
I know it can be overwhelming - we live in a world with endless nutrition advice and it’s too easy to feel paralysed by all of the options.
And
after almost 30 years of helping women to not just lose bodyfat but to feel stronger and more confident than ever before…..I’ve realised that the key to making it all work is to keep it SIMPLE.
Here are a few of my favourite ways to make your nutrition feel easy and doable, even when life gets busy:
1. Use the “Plate Method.”
Instead of worrying about counting every calorie, try:
- Fill half your plate with colourful veggies
- A quarter with quality protein
- And the last quarter with a healthy carb
- Add a drizzle of healthy fats like olive oil or some avocado
It’s easy to customise and this works whether you’re meal-prepping or
eating on the go!
2. Have 3-5 Go-To Meals on Rotation.
When you’re short on time (and hungry!), it’s way too easy to grab whatever’s convenient. That’s why I recommend having a rotation of quick, nutritious meals ready to make on the fly.
For me, that looks like:
- A veggie-packed omelette with a side of mixed berries for breakfast
- A bag or prepared salad with pre-cooked protein and balsamic vinaigrette
- A protein shake with nut butter and frozen berries
3. Batch-Prep What Matters Most.
If a large meal prep session feels like it’s too much, just prep a couple of basics!
Roast a tray of veggies or cook a batch of quinoa that you can use throughout the
week.
The goal isn’t to be perfect - but to make healthy eating as simple as possible.
Your healthy habits should work for YOU, not the other way around.
