Hi
Can we all agree that perfection is exhausting? 🙃
Well, one of the biggest myths out there is that you have to get everything right to make progress.
You know how it goes…If you miss one workout or splurge a little too much, you feel like you’ve blown it, so you give up entirely. Sound
familiar?
But here’s the truth: True success isn’t about being perfect - it’s about being consistent, even when things aren’t ideal.
You have two choices. You can:
- Crush one “perfect” week of workouts and meal prep, then burn out and do nothing for the next three.
- OR show up at 80% (or more!) every week for
months, even when life throws you curveballs.
Which one do you think gets better results?
Spoiler: It’s the second one.
Here are two POWERFUL strategies to rewire your mindset for consistency:
1. Celebrate “Non-Zero” Days.
This concept comes from the idea that any effort is better than none. Walk for 10 minutes? Do a few push-ups? Add a side of veggies to your dinner? It’s a
win. The goal is to avoid having a day where you do nothing for your goals.
Coach’s Tip: "One of my clients keeps a ‘Non-Zero’ habit tracker in her planner, checking off at least one small action daily. Seeing those tiny wins add up keeps her motivated!"
2. Use the 2-Minute Rule.
On days when motivation is low, tell yourself you only need to do two minutes. Just two! That’s usually enough to get you started and of course,
you’ll likely want to keep going! But even if you do stop, you’ve still kept the habit alive. (Plus it’ll count as a non-zero day 😉)
Coaches Insight: "A client once told me, ‘I don’t have time for a long walk.’ So we started with just two minutes outside. Now, she loves her daily 15-minute evening walks!"
Perfection gets you stuck. Consistency keeps you moving forward.
It’s not about being perfect - it’s
about showing up, over and over again.
Here’s to progress, not perfection,

P.S. Accountability makes all the difference when it comes to staying consistent! I offer one-to-one coaching, group sessions and a free Facebook community where you can get the support you need.
I’m also currently training as an Accountability Coach because I know this will take my
programs to the next level. Exciting news - I’ll soon be launching a brand-new program that’s unlike anything you’ve ever done before!
I’ll be looking for a small group of women to test it out at a low cost in exchange for feedback and testimonials. If you’re interested, get in touch now before spaces fill up! Watch this space!
