September can be a great month to get back on track, almost like a fresh start or a "new year." The weather is still mild, routines return to normal and it's the perfect time to refocus on your health and fitness goals.
How did your fitness journey go over the summer?
If you found yourself slipping a bit with your workouts or
indulging more than planned, don’t be hard on yourself. It’s totally normal and you’re not alone!
The good news is, September offers a wonderful opportunity to re-establish a fitness routine. The air is getting cooler, kids are back in school and work schedules are becoming more predictable. With more structure in our daily lives, it becomes easier to create and stick to a plan.
But, a word of caution...
It’s so easy to find reasons not to
prioritise fitness, especially around the holidays. Whether it's juggling travel plans, parties, or family time, sticking to a routine can feel impossible. And now that you're back at work, with kids returning to school and busy with activities or clubs, it can still feel like there’s just no time to work out. Even if you don’t have kids at home, balancing work, social commitments and self-care can make finding time for fitness a real challenge.
But remember - don’t let these
stories hold you back. You are in control of your time and your health.
Start today by doing just one thing that brings you closer to your goals. Then, do the same tomorrow. Keep that momentum going and soon enough, you’ll be not only back on track but also seeing the results you deserve.
