Hi
Do you have a sedentary job?
When we are stooped over computers all day, our musculature actually develops to accommodate that position: we become slouched. Pilates can actually correct that slouch: through carefully focusing
on specific movements, Pilates stretches the muscles surrounding the spine – people can literally end up taller.
Do you have an injury?
Pilates was designed initially to
help people recover from injuries. While many people do use it after an injury, doing Pilates regularly will help you have a tighter tummy, better overall muscle tone and you will look leaner too.
Do you have low back, neck and shoulder pain?
A single Pilates workout
can sometimes improve back, neck and shoulder pain in the same way that a massage can bring relief to tight muscles
Do you feel stressed?
Pilates can bring about more body awareness and the inward focus and use of breath from Pilates can down-regulate the nervous system. This, in turn, can take you out of
fight-or-flight mode, lower cortisol, and decrease stress over time!
There are many more benefits to practising Pilates so if you answered yes to any of the above questions or would generally like to me more flexible, stronger and
improve your overall posture, Pilates is a great option.
Try it!
We have new 8 week Pilates courses starting on Monday (22nd May) at Avoncroft Arts Centre Main Hall at 6pm.
The fee for the 8 Week Pilates course is £68
