Hi
Many women and men fear that Pilates might not be suitable for them.
These are just some of statements I hear time and time again:
I can’t do Pilates because…….
“My tummy muscles do not exist”
“I’m not flexible enough”
“I’m overweight”
“I have no coordination”...
I understand how daunting it is to start something new or get back to something you haven’t done in a while but if you want a stronger body, don’t let those thoughts get in the way of you doing something that will help you move your body better or reduce the back pain you may be
experiencing.
Pilates is a perfect exercise to get you started or restarted on your fitness journey!
Pilates is designed to strengthen your body exactly as it is now.
The exercises are taught in levels so that you can work at exactly the right level for you.
If you have any specific weakness, e.g., back or neck, the exercises will be modified and tailored to you.
Pilates focuses on precision and effectiveness, so we give very clear cues on the execution of every single movement, e.g. how to breathe, how to engage the core, how to control the pelvis etc so that
you get the most out of the exercises.
We don’t need any experience or special genes to start practicing Pilates.
Pilates with precise guidance will help us achieve our goals effectively and safely,
So if you want to strengthen your core, improve your balance, gain greater coordination, & improve your mind body connection, all while increasing your overall strength and flexibility?
Pilates is the answer!
We have a few places available on our next 8 week courses starting this week. Why not come along and join some of my other new course members?
The venue for all of my pilates courses is the main hall at The Avoncroft Arts Society - 84 Redditch Rd, Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove B60 4JR. (If using Sat Nav - they share the postcode with Avoncroft Museum - so don’t follow the brown road signs!)
You will see the entrance sign on the Redditch Road (by the pedestrian traffic lights) just go down the drive about 100 metres and turn left at the bottom - there's a large car park and the main hall is there.)
Here are the days and times of our 8 week Pilates courses:
Monday 6pm – 6:45pm course starting on Monday 10th January
Monday 8pm – 8:45pm starting on Monday 10th January
Thursday 5:50pm – 6:35pm starting on Thursday 13th January
Monday 10am – 10:45am starting on Monday 17th January
If you would like to join us or have any questions, e-mail me at nicolacarless@aol.com
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.....
